I am Tyshaun. I overthink everything and sometimes I write it down.

I received a B.F.A. in Film & TV writing from Morgan State University in 2018. While in school I interned for HBO, T. Rowe Price, James E. Lewis Museum of Art, and Apple. However, I’m way more proud of all the restaurants I had the privilege of serving in during that time.

In a former life, I was a video operations specialist at Apple. I managed video content on the iTunes store, handling partner relations, and providing delivery support for several content providers across our platform. In my personal time, I produced and recorded music under the stage names Dadcapps & Shotgun Valery while continuing to sharpen my skills as a writer.

Currently, I serve as an assistant producer at Green Buzz Agency, a video production house based in DC. My main function is supporting the producers and writing a lot of the scripts and copy for our productions. Here, I have the pleasure of working with an amazing team of creatives to make content that pushes brands and initiatives to new heights.

As a storyteller, what’s most important to me is the story I leave behind. I want to live a life free to create by any means possible, I want to do work that stands the test of time, and I want to leave behind a story that makes my children proud.
